I've never been more supported and heard
I can hand on heart say I’ve never been more supported and heard.
Her guidance is fully evidence backed and she comes with a wealth of background knowledge on all things SEN & especially the school system.
Not only is she a great listener but she is an extremely thoughtful responder and breaks things down in a way that can be understood by everyone.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, in fact I have several times already.
Very appropriately named business.

Liz has been part of our lives for several years, and you would be hard pressed to find a more patient, kind and understanding advocate. The support, advice and legal knowledge have been second to none and she talked me patiently through every step within the EHCPNA process. Making suggested changes in order to ensure that the paper work was completed thoroughly and accurately, allowed me to send off the forms with confidence. Liz always has words of comfort and support; she reminds you to celebrate every win no matter small and helps you think about what the next steps should be in the complex journey of advocating for your SEN child.

The quality and information provided was beyond my expectations
I sought some help when I noticed my 15 year old daughter was having problems with concentration and focus. There were other symptoms too and it made me wonder if she had some kind of attention deficit disorder.
I had no experience of this and no idea about next steps, but having done a bit of research online and I found ‘Send Hugs’ a company specialising in parental support for neurodivergent children. I contacted Liz, who was Informative, friendly and kind and I arranged to have an initial free consultation to see if or how ‘Send Hugs’ could help guide us. During the first meeting Liz asked lots of questions and then suggested ways in which she could help. She gave me lots of information about how schools assess neurodivergent children and the sorts of support schools could offer. I had 2 main concerns;
1. Should I get my daughter officially assessed. What benefit would this give us and what was the significance of giving my daughter a label for now and her future.
2. How could school support us in the lead up to my daughter’s GCSEs, given that focused revision was so difficult for her.
Liz said she could put together 2 documents, the first on the pros and cons of getting a diagnoses and the second a study guide with some suggestions about what methods might help.
Liz provided both documents which were a wealth of information, she gave us links to initial free assessments we could do before committing to a formal diagnoses and she had reviewed my daughters school’s SEN policy , for deadlines and adjustments the school could put in place for exams. The quality and information provided was beyond my expectations, Liz had obviously spent a lot of time on background work.
The information was enough for me to make a carefully considered decision on going straight for a formal assessment. Liz had also provided links to several assessment centres, so I could research each one. She’d also had some experience of one of them, so she was able to share that experience.
Liz provided 2 separate study documents which she went through with my daughter on 2 separate occasions. She went through some study techniques which my daughter said were helpful. Liz is both personable, approachable and very kind, my daughter found her very easy to engage with, which is not always easy for a teenager.
In summary we have a formal assessment planned and a plan of action going forwards, all put in place within a few months, I am so relieved. This would not have been possible without the help of Liz at ‘Send Hugs’ and the information she gave us. We are working through the study techniques to see which ones work for my daughter. It’s all much more positive.
Just to add, Liz was able to package this support up into a comprehensive plan and at a very reasonable cost. I would have no hesitation in recommending ‘Send Hugs’
to any parent that needed guidance and support in their Neuro journey.
